2001 Annual Report Executive Summary
City of Kennett Champion Community
2001 was a year of growth and accomplishment in many areas. Two local industries expanded; Emerson Motors refurbished their facility, adding approximately 150 new jobs and is now classified as a World Class operation. Great West Insurance Processing Center began construction of a new 25,000 sq ft facility, having added 100 employees within the last two years. The Dunklin County Library opened a new facility with enhanced services and the Kennett Higher Education Center expanded classroom space. Social services and programs remain strong, but still require funding and monumental effort.
