Transportation Association of America (CTAA)
- Department of Commerce Grants--The
Economic Development Administration of the Dept. of Commerce on March 1,
2002, published its Availability of Funds Under the Public Works and
Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended and the Trade Act of 1974, as
amended. The purpose of this funding is to assist states, regions and
communities create wealth and minimize poverty by promoting a favorable
business environment to attract private capital investment and high skill,
high paying jobs. Further

Health and Human Services---RC/EZ/EC
site--This web site provides health
planning technical assistance for Renewal Communities, Empowerment
Zones, and Enterprise Communities (RC/EZ/ECs). Specific areas of
assistance provided on the site include: Good Health/Good Economy,
Planning for a Healthy RC/EZ/EC, Mobilizing Partnerships and Making
Contacts, Working on Priority Health Issues, Evaluating your Efforts,
Funding and Links. Each area provides a topic overview, a story from
the field, several examples from the field, tools, tips, and links.
- Department of Housing and Urban
Development's Regulatory Barriers Clearinghouse--a web site designed to
create more opportunities for affordable housing. The new web site includes
a forum that will give builders and developers from around the country the
ability to share ideas and solutions for overcoming state and local
regulatory barriers to affordable housing.
- Department of Justice-Office of Juvenile
Justice and Delinquency Prevention --
Information on the prevention of youth crime.

Developing and
Writing Grant Proposals--Guidelines developed by the Catalogue of
Federal Domestic Assistance.
- Export-Import Bank--The
official export credit agency of the U.S. government works with small
businesses. It helps small and medium-sized businesses that have
exporting potential but need funds to buy or produce goods, and/or to
provide services, for export.

and bold new approach to government's role in helping those in need.

- Northwest Area Foundation--focuses all
the Foundation’s resources on helping communities in our eight-state

Indicator Website--enables users to look up information such as

- Rural Assistance Center--The Rural
Assistance Center (RAC), established by the U.S. Department of Health
and Human Services (HHS), is a new
national resource on rural health and human services information.
Information specialists are available to provide customized
assistance, such as web and database searches on rural topics and
funding resources, linking users to organizations, and furnishing
relevant publications from the RAC resource library.
The RAC is the result of collaboration by the University of
North Dakota's Center for Rural Health and its partners the Rural
Policy Research Institute, the Welfare Information Network, and HHS's
Office of Rural Health Policy in the Health Resources and Services
Administration. More features will be added in coming months
including searchable databases, a Congressional bill tracking feature,
and a quarterly newsletter. The RAC can be accessed at: http://www.raconline.org

(HHS) Center on Faith Based and Community Initiatives--website provides one-stop-shopping for faith-based and community
organizations looking for information about HHS programs and
opportunities. This site also features helpful hints about grant
writing, nonprofit management and volunteerism.
- USDA/DOT Create Rural
Transportation Toolbox--Information on all rural transportation programs
offered by Agriculture and USDOT centralized on this site.
