Kennett is located in the Mississippi Delta region in southeast Missouri.  It is a small community located in an area that has long been considered one of the most poverty stricken areas in the state and the country.  Kennett has strength that is characterized by extremely active and involved citizens within the community.

Community Involvement:

 

City Council meetings, Chamber meetings, and Dunklin County Caring Council meetings are held to continue the improvements and development of industry and economic development.  The school system holds meetings to discuss improvements to the school system and youth services.  Use local radio, television station and the newspaper to keep the community informed and involved.
